(More customer reviews)We were living in Virginia in an apartment. We were getting roaches from another apartment and tried everything. An exterminator came and made no difference. We set out traps and were catching 5 or six roaches a night. Finally my mother-in-law from Texas told me that they use a spray called Bengal and that it works miricles. I had to order it online because they only sell it in the south (it's made in Louisiana). I ordered 2 cans. We sprayed the heck out of our whole kitchen. The roaches stopped coming in from under our sink. A few weeks later we sprayed again to take care of any eggs that may have hatched. This stuff has completely stopped the problem. We spray now every couple of months and I will forever swear by this stuff. Roaches are a hard problem to get rid of but this stuff does the job! I would give it more than five stars if i could.

It killed ticks in the doghouse, spiders in the garage and ants everywhere I see them. The ants NEVER come back when I use this spray. We have saved hundreds of dollars doing our own pest control with Bug Stop and I would recommend it to anyone looking to kill bugs for good.

I will continue to use this stuff. The fact that it works in any weather is a plus. I have brown spots all over my lawn previous owners didn't take pride in their lawn. (More customer reviews)I just moved this year into a place in the woods and forgot how many bugs there could be in the house.This worked as a foundation spray that cut down the amount of bugs getting in the house.It says it lasts through rains and it does. I've sprayed only twice this year (but we've had record rainfall in WI this year). It doesn't work with mosquitos, so I had to add a fog for that.It did eliminate earwigs, ants, most spiders, beetles, millipedes, etc.
I saw that someone used this ON their plants - I almost did that too, but it didn't sound like I should do that based on the label directions. The same brand makes another product for that labelled "Garden Insect Killer".Some of the ingredients are similar, but the garden insect killer is a pump spray and has only plant oils in it, where this one has a few other ingredients and is a spray that attaches to a garden hose (more concentrated). The garden one works well but has to be reapplied more often (than other sprays I have used) due to watering. But I had to spray something on my basil this year and this was the only product that I could spray directly on something I would be eating later.Works well too.

(More customer reviews)I used Orange Guard on several fire ant mounds, using the manufacturer's instructions of 3 to 1 diluted AND full strength.The mounds were ABANDONED.There were absolutely no ant carcasses to be found AND here is the important point, mounds appeared nearby in short order where there were none before.For emphasis and clarity, I repeat, even at full strength, Orange Guard DID NOT KILL fire ants, it just made them move.If you want to kill fire ants in the most earth friendly way, use boiling water.You will see dead ants, and except for the energy burned boiling water, no possible harm to the earth.BTW, as far as the spinosad based products such as Conserve, although safer than probably all previous such products, studies on spinosad show slight toxicity to birds, moderate toxicity to fish, and slight to moderate toxicity to aquatic invertebrates. However, it is highly toxic to bees and is highly toxic to oysters and other marine mollusks.Again, boiling water (as a nod to Ray Bradbury, I call it Farenheit 212) does no harm to any of these when applied to ant mounds.If you want an ant repellant, it does appear to accomplish that.

(More customer reviews)I've used this a few times over the past 2 years.I live in an area which has lots of trees and can be overrun with bugs in the summertime.All types too, spiders, ants, carpet beetles etc.It does a really good job when I spray the outside of the house around the doors and the windows and in the overhangs where spiders like to camp.Works well around outside lighting as well, seems to do a really nice job if applied before the bugs get there.Spraying inside the house along works great as well for keeping bugs at bay, especially carpet beetles.

Only downsides are that this does not kill silverfish, and some types of spiders appear unaffected by it.It says on the package that it takes care of them but my basement still has a problem even after repeated uses of the product.Which is too bad because these things are monsters and I hate them with a passion, still haven't found a product that can effectively kill them.The other downside, as someone else pointed out, there is a lingering smell for a day or two after application.It's not terrible it's just not pleasant.

Overall for the price I'd say it's a good product.The application takes a little while if you have a large or tall house but if you hate bugs and don't want to spend the hundreds of bucks for exterminator service this is a good product which will save you money and keep a lot of the bugs away.

(More customer reviews)Orange Guard really works.It's fantastic for not just killing those bugs when they appear but I have used it around my kitchen sink and on the counter tops (without fear of the chemicals being around the food I eat) when I had an ant problem.Within a couple of days, the ants were gone for good.I have also successfully used it on roaches, spiders and crickets.It has a great citrus scent that almost wants to make you use it for air freshener (just kidding, but it does smell good!)
I haven't used it outside, though, so I can't say how well it works there.

I added a little bit of peppermint oil to it too as I read that was effective against ticks as well. I live in Florida where fleas and ticks are a huge problem year round so it is a relief to finally find something natural that works. I don't have to worry about how often I use it as it won't hurt my dogs or cats. I also have an aversion to smells since I have asthma & allergies but the smell of it is wonderful and doesn't bother me at all. Definitely try it !

(More customer reviews)I've used this for many years and it's a great product for use on carpets, furniture and similar surfaces. However, make sure the area is well-ventilated. It not only kills any fleas or ticks that may have wandered in, it also breaks the life cycle of the fleas so they don't reproduce.

The product can also be put on a cloth and wiped on a pet, but only with extreme caution. Never use it on animals under 8 weeks old, and don't let pets into the areas or around the furniture that's been sprayed until the fumes have dissipated. The fumes can adversely affect adult cats and have especially negative affects on young animals.

If used as directed, this is a wonderful product and well worth the money.
