(More customer reviews)I bought this product to battle aphids on my house plant. It sounds really great in description, but unfortunately my aphids couldn't care less for it. I think they actually enjoyed it :) So I had to go back to the real pesticides.

These plant oils kill insects by blocking specific neural pathways that don't exist within mammels or birds. These plant oils attack the Octopamine neuro-receptors. Octopamine is a key insect neurotransmitter that regulates insect movement, behavior, and metabolism. The blockage of the receptor activity prevents the transmission of the Octopamine signals which leads to certain characteristic signs of toxity such as excitiation, hyperextension in the hind legs and abdomen, followed by immobilization and/or knock down, followed by death. this process will begin immediately. I will continue to use this stuff. The fact that it works in any weather is a plus. I have brown spots all over my lawn previous owners didn't take pride in their lawn. I like this stuff so far I would recommend it make sure your read the directions.

(More customer reviews)I used Orange Guard on several fire ant mounds, using the manufacturer's instructions of 3 to 1 diluted AND full strength.The mounds were ABANDONED.There were absolutely no ant carcasses to be found AND here is the important point, mounds appeared nearby in short order where there were none before.For emphasis and clarity, I repeat, even at full strength, Orange Guard DID NOT KILL fire ants, it just made them move.If you want to kill fire ants in the most earth friendly way, use boiling water.You will see dead ants, and except for the energy burned boiling water, no possible harm to the earth.BTW, as far as the spinosad based products such as Conserve, although safer than probably all previous such products, studies on spinosad show slight toxicity to birds, moderate toxicity to fish, and slight to moderate toxicity to aquatic invertebrates. However, it is highly toxic to bees and is highly toxic to oysters and other marine mollusks.Again, boiling water (as a nod to Ray Bradbury, I call it Farenheit 212) does no harm to any of these when applied to ant mounds.If you want an ant repellant, it does appear to accomplish that.

(More customer reviews)I've used this a few times over the past 2 years.I live in an area which has lots of trees and can be overrun with bugs in the summertime.All types too, spiders, ants, carpet beetles etc.It does a really good job when I spray the outside of the house around the doors and the windows and in the overhangs where spiders like to camp.Works well around outside lighting as well, seems to do a really nice job if applied before the bugs get there.Spraying inside the house along works great as well for keeping bugs at bay, especially carpet beetles.

Only downsides are that this does not kill silverfish, and some types of spiders appear unaffected by it.It says on the package that it takes care of them but my basement still has a problem even after repeated uses of the product.Which is too bad because these things are monsters and I hate them with a passion, still haven't found a product that can effectively kill them.The other downside, as someone else pointed out, there is a lingering smell for a day or two after application.It's not terrible it's just not pleasant.

Overall for the price I'd say it's a good product.The application takes a little while if you have a large or tall house but if you hate bugs and don't want to spend the hundreds of bucks for exterminator service this is a good product which will save you money and keep a lot of the bugs away.

(More customer reviews)Orange Guard really works.It's fantastic for not just killing those bugs when they appear but I have used it around my kitchen sink and on the counter tops (without fear of the chemicals being around the food I eat) when I had an ant problem.Within a couple of days, the ants were gone for good.I have also successfully used it on roaches, spiders and crickets.It has a great citrus scent that almost wants to make you use it for air freshener (just kidding, but it does smell good!)
I haven't used it outside, though, so I can't say how well it works there.

We've had several of these nasty parasites in our apartment over the past 9 months. 3 months ago my wife discovered this product, and purchased the 3 pound container that you see here. We started sprinkling it around our apartment: we did the perimeter baseboard, pulled up our area rugs and dusted the floorboards, and even put it between our box spring and mattress.

We've found bedbugs dried up around our apartment in the areas that we've treated, so it's successful as a treatment for bedbugs. The fact that it is pet-safe (you can feed it to your pets to de-worm them? crazy) gives us peace of mind about our cat stepping in it and washing her paws later.

If you put this down on your floors, be sure to have good ventilation. We didn't realize how long this powder would hang in the air when we first treated our bedroom: we did that at night, then had to quick get the Ionic Breeze into our room so we wouldn't sneeze all night.

Our exterminator didn't know about diatomaceous earth before he came to treat our apartment. I showed him this product and explained how it worked; he has now incorporated it into his arsenal of bedbug toxins.
