The blockage of the receptor activity prevents the transmission of the Octopamine signals which leads to certain characteristic signs of toxity such as excitiation, hyperextension in the hind legs and abdomen, followed by immobilization and/or knock down, followed by death. this process will begin immediately. (More customer reviews)Orange Guard really works.It's fantastic for not just killing those bugs when they appear but I have used it around my kitchen sink and on the counter tops (without fear of the chemicals being around the food I eat) when I had an ant problem.Within a couple of days, the ants were gone for good.I have also successfully used it on roaches, spiders and crickets.It has a great citrus scent that almost wants to make you use it for air freshener (just kidding, but it does smell good!)
I haven't used it outside, though, so I can't say how well it works there.
