(More customer reviews)We have a German Wire Haired Setter named Maxwell Quincy (Max for short) who is allergic to fleas and flea control products. Max is 11 years old and has had to be medicated every summer for this problem.While doing research on flea control I read about nematodes and decided to give them a try.They have worked wonders for Max, this is the first summer he hasn't had a severe reaction to fleas!

After seeing how well they worked to control the fleas I bought some for the cabbage cut worms in our garden.I am pleased to say that in the 25 years we have had a garden this is the first year we haven't lost one head of cabbage yet.

Plus, if you are worried about this, we have checked a small specimen from each shipment with a microscope and found the nematodes to be alive and well upon receipt.Our grandchildren love watching them and get excited everytime we get a package.

Nematodes prey upon more than just fleas and cut worms so I suggest checking out the list of things they kill.If you have trouble with any of the pests on the list purchase some for yourself and I am sure you will be pleased with the results.Nematodes are microscopic wonders!

BENEFICIAL NEMATODES These microscopic insects will seek out and destroy over 230 kinds of soil dwelling and wood boring insects, including cutworms, armyworms, rootworms, weevils, grubs, fungus gnat larvae, and many more. They are completely safe for people, pets, and the environment, and are compatible with other beneficial insects. Beneficial nematodes are shipped live in the box and may be mixed directly into the soil and are applied with a sprayer.
USE: Beneficial Nematodes (BN) attack more than 230 kinds of soil dwelling and wood boring pests, such as flea larvae, white grubs, cutworms, corn root worms, strawberry weevils, gypsy moth larvae, cabbage root maggots, fungus gnat larvae, and many more. RELEASE: BN may be released by spraying with water, mixing with mulch and applying directly to the soil or potting mix, or injecting into burrows. They may be used any time of year, as long as the ground is not frozen. Do not release in direct sunlight, as this will kill them. See directions for details. COVERAGE: Will cover up to 200 square feet, but faster results are obtained with higher concentrations, covering only 200 square feet. GENERAL INFORMATION: Beneficial Nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) are microscopic in size and cannot be seen with the naked eye. But the 7 million active units in each pint container will hunt down, penetrate, and kill most soil dwelling pests. Pyrethrin Spray Concentrate, 1 Pt Review

We live in an apartment complex and bugs, especially roaches has always been a problem. We hate using raid around pets and especially in the kitchen so I decided to look into this.

Pros: It works. Doesn't kill within 5 seconds like raid does, but it does kill within about 45 seconds with direct spraying. It's natural/biodegradable so I don't really expect it to work quite as fast, but it DOES work, for sure. I even sprayed a few and trapped them under a glass and checked them later to make sure they were dead.

Cons: This stuff breaks down really fast in direct light. We used an opaque (non-see-through) white plastic sprayer because I knew this was an issue. It's actually a pro for me that it breaks down in direct light so it's not building up toxins in your house. But, even after using a non-see-through spraying container the stuff lost it's potency after about a week of it just sitting in the sprayer. I have a new small metal sprayer that I'm going to try and see if it works any better.

The container it ships in also leaks if knocked over so watch that. Took me like 2 days to figure out what that intense pepper smell was before I noticed the bottle had tipped over.

(More customer reviews)This is wonderful to prevent fleas. We have been using it around our dogs pen, in the pen and in our home. We didn't have a flea problem inside to begin with but we are using it to prevent that. Our dog was bringing in at least 6 fleas every day. We started putting it on the dog and it almost totally keeps the fleas from getting on her which is no small feat. Our house is surrounded by woods and she stays outside most of the day. It is also OK if she ends up eating some of it because it's safe. They actually use it to deworm animals anyway. One of the drawbacks is that diatomaceous earth dries out skin. We haven't had any issues with it yet but we're always watching.

We have also used it on our rose buds and blooms. We dust it right onto the roses. Japanese beetles and June bugs were eating them up but sense we started using the diatomaceous earth, I haven't found but one or two. The roses are much healthier now.

The only drawback is that after a rain or heavy dew, you have to reapply the dust. Also, if you plan to use it on or around your animals, it needs to be food grade.

This intrigued me since I was making effort to grow my garden organically and was having problems with pests even with chemical usage. I decided to try this neem oil myself on my vegetable garden. The results are just amazing! Nothing eats my plants anymore, pests are in check both above and below the ground. I can spray plants with the neem oil mixture and also treat the soil for cutworms, nematodes etc. This product seems to provide a force field of protection leaving the plants to grow full leaves, good blossoms and turn into fruit. I no longer use any type of chemical. I have discarded them all and now i only have one item - NEEM OIL. Try it. You'll never need anything else.
