(More customer reviews)This yard spray really does the job especially if you have more of a tick problem than a flea problem.Here in Hawaii, there are a lot of ticks.I usually use Frontline Plus, which worked wonders for my two GSDs who also go to obedience school.Anyhow, one month I forgot, and suddenly there is a tick epidemic in my yard and on my dogs.

So, I ordered some of this spray that I had used a long time ago in the past.The packaging was the same.But there was one problem this time.When you get the box, it comes with a child-safe cap that has a foil seal inside.The spray attachment and inner tube/cap are separate.This tube and inner cap is supposed to fit nicely inside the neck of the bottle so that you can easily screw on the sprayer attachment.So, following the instructions, I took off the foil seal and attempted to put in the tube with the plastic cap.The tube fell out of the inner cap part, and into the bottle.Since this was a new bottle, the concentrate was full, and impossible to get the tube part out without spilling the liquid!I ended up using a thin stick I found in the yard to help fish it out.So, I put the tube back into the inner cap, and then a second problem!

This time, the cap part didn't fit in the neck of the bottle!So, I tried forcing it, and suddenly the bottle "gave" out a little and the concentrated formula overflowed on the outside of the bottle.At this point I was getting pretty grumpy and thinking what the heck, this didn't happen the last time I used this brand!Since I orderd two boxes, I opened up the second box and there was the same problem. So I ended up having to use my brass hose nozzle and scraped it around the bottle opening to "stretch" it out a little.I finally got the cap to fit properly and then attached the sprayer.I then turned on the hose with the sprayer on "off" as per the instructions.Suddenly, the sprayer broke apart and I was blasted with water.Thankfully it was only the end part attached to the hose that somehow snapped off.I was able to snap it back on and turning down the water, proceeded to use it on my lawn.

Overall this is a good product and it works.I guess maybe the bottle and sprayer were made in China since the quality was really poor compared to the last time I used it.

Mosquito Barrier is a very strong liquid garlic made from very potent garlic cloves. The garlic used in Mosquito Barrier is a very powerful variety which is much more potent than the garlic found in grocery stores (in fact, our lab people here refer to it as super garlic). Spraying garlic to keep insects away is not something new, farmers and master gardeners have been doing it for many generations.Since mosquitoes are soft-bodied insects the garlic juice can be very toxic to them in increased concentrations. The juice does not harm humans or pets or plants, but to mosquitoes it can be deadly. The odor of it chases them out of the area and they stay away - for as long as they can detect the odor. While the odor of sprayed garlic juice becomes undetectable to humans within minutes, the mosquitoes will still detect it. (More customer reviews)I just moved this year into a place in the woods and forgot how many bugs there could be in the house.This worked as a foundation spray that cut down the amount of bugs getting in the house.It says it lasts through rains and it does. I've sprayed only twice this year (but we've had record rainfall in WI this year). It doesn't work with mosquitos, so I had to add a fog for that.It did eliminate earwigs, ants, most spiders, beetles, millipedes, etc.
I saw that someone used this ON their plants - I almost did that too, but it didn't sound like I should do that based on the label directions. The same brand makes another product for that labelled "Garden Insect Killer".Some of the ingredients are similar, but the garden insect killer is a pump spray and has only plant oils in it, where this one has a few other ingredients and is a spray that attaches to a garden hose (more concentrated). The garden one works well but has to be reapplied more often (than other sprays I have used) due to watering. But I had to spray something on my basil this year and this was the only product that I could spray directly on something I would be eating later.Works well too.

I have an Aussie mix who suffers with allergies, as well as seems prone to attracting fleas.I have used many products over the years,but this shampoo tops them all. I have a "kiddie" pool that I use for a bathtub for him. While filling it, I squirt about 2 ounces in the water. I can also put it directly on him, but I find the other way works better for him. The neem in this product kills bugs just about on contact.It has a pleasant fragrance and calms his irritated skin. I recommend this product highly, particularly if you have a dog with sensitivities.

(More customer reviews)I had purchased a healthy, happy pedigree Boston Terrier puppy who, once reached 4-6 mos of age, developed a rather severe case of Demodex. After going to vet and being prescribed serious, heavy duty topically-toxic prescriptions (oral meds with and frequent poisonous dips to kill the parasites) I opted to research the problem on my own to find a holistic cure -- and discovered the parasites/mites survive on the skin, appear like mange and are actually dependent on yeast that ultimately comes from the dog's diet and needs to be treated topically with Neem Oil shampoo.

I modified the diet to a solely organic reliable food source (found at website FlintRiver dot com) that provided only foods found in a dog's natural (pre-domesticated) enviornment. They abstain totally from all manner of artificial preservatives, yeast, enzymes, etc. Storebought dog foods fed and maintained the mites/Demodex condition by including ingredients counter to a healthy diet for dogs. The external therapy relied on the weekly use of neem oil shampoo, a natural botanical oil that the mites could not tolerate. After a month of diet and shampoo therapy, my dog had extremely noticable and positive results - after three months, the condition was 98% resolved. By the time my puppy was 1yr old, he had totally overcome his Demodex condition and is healthy, happy and chemical free.

I continue to use this organic neem-oil shampoo exclusively to keep my dogs safe from fleas and ticks in the summer and it works great in that regard as well as keeps my dogs' coats soft, shiney, clean and fresh smelling. I also continue to feed them Flint River dog food since a healthy, organic diet is the best preventative for good healthcare. Also, I have peace of mind knowing I'm feeding my dogs USA-made, USA cultivated organic, human-grade quality food ingredients found in Flint River dog food. Saftey issues with pet food ingredient-sources and subsequent pet food recalls are a real concern and one we don't have to worry about with Flint River.

(More customer reviews)I bought this originally because I thought our cats had fleas and wanted to spray around their areas.It's turned out to be a great all around product.It doesn't smell chemical-y, aggravate my allergies, or give me a headache like some sprays do, and I feel comfortable spraying it in the kitchen or around the cats' feeding area, where we had an ant problem.You can really control the direction of the spray and get into nooks and crannies easily.I even chased a big fly around and sprayed it dead.Normally would never be able to kill something like that.It's also good if bugs in general give you the heebie jeebies and you want to be able to kill them from a few feet away.Especially great for apartment city dwellers who can't control the cleanliness of their neighbors...

Every summer we start to find spiders around in the middle of the night, and seeing as I am a night owl who happens to be arachnaphobic this has been a serious issue. My fear of spiders is crippling; now that I have this spray I am still afraid, but at least I can do something about it! I saturate the buggers in this stuff and after a few seconds they curl up and die. Good stuff.

(More customer reviews)I wanted to use all natural products for my small terrier mix dogs, both about 10 pounds. I started this product in the spring, and initially it worked. The dogs were only outside for short walks and to use the bathroom, so their exposure to fleas was limited. However, summer came and we took the dogs rock climbing, camping, hiking, running, etc. This product just wasn't enough for their long periods of exposure, I think. Even when we were washing the dogs 2 times a week with this shampoo, they still got fleas. Then, once the fleas infested the dogs and the house, this wasn't enough to rid ourselves of the fleas. It would kill the fleas during bath time--we would see the fleas on our hands and falling into the white bath tub (dead). However, just hours after the bath, the dogs would be scratching again--it didn't do anything to repel the fleas.

I'm not totally giving up on the shampoo--I might try it next spring in conjunction with another natural product--I did not use this brand of spray (I used another, totally useless one). I like the smell, although it took some getting used to. So, I'm fairly neutral on this shampoo, although I will have to say it didn't quite live up to the claims it made.

(More customer reviews)So it would seem that there are a lot of fleas outside this year. We don't even have pets and we have fleas inside now. I guess they hitchhiked in on our clothing. Now they are inside and having a ball biting us. We've been sweeping a lot because I read that is the most effective thing to do. However there are those they get away. They don't want caught. They always seem to be finding us. So I picked up a couple of these traps. They seem to work well at attracting and catching the stragglers. The trap is basically a nightlight bulb suspended over a grid that has a sticky pad under it. The fleas are attracted to the heat and light from the bulb and jump at it and then fall through the grid onto the sticky pad. I know you can do the same thing with a lamp and a bowl of soapy water on the floor but these traps are nice because you can grab them and move them around easily without accidentally spilling or having to change the water all the time. My kid leaves it alone too, he thinks it is his new nightlight. I don't think we have a bad infestation but I caught the most the first couple of nights and then it has dropped off to a couple now and then so I think sweeping and these traps have been helping and will soon eliminate the fleas. Overall I think this trap is a great supplement to whatever arsenal you choose to use in the battle against the fleas.

(More customer reviews)If you have a vacuum with a HEPA filter, vacuum every day and use this for overnight.Use Frontline from the vet, it's better than Advantage from the pet store.They are all I've ever used and found them to be completely effective.It takes awhile: you have to be diligent.And just before you go to bed, fling the sheets off the bed and grab the ones hiding there about where your ankles hit the sheets.

I've had one of these things for 15 years.Used it once that long ago and the problem completely disappeared and I never had another problem until now.I frantically looked at hardware stores for the refills, but couldn't find them, and was amazed to find them here.I bought two sets of refills just in case. These things are great: highly recommended, but you also have to vacuum daily for about two months.

(More customer reviews)I must admit I was very skeptical about this, but decided to give it a try out of sheer desperation, and based on the favorable reviews on Amazon.I've got a flea issue with my bedroom carpet, and have tried sprays, continuous vacuuming, boric acid treatments, and dosing my pet with Frontline & Advantage products.While the Advantage works pretty darn well ON the pet, the carpet was still infested no matter what I tried. I plugged in this little contraption on the floor next to my bed, and within TWO HOURS I've already captured 18 fleas, and can actually SEE them hopping across the carpet to get to the trap! I think this is a brilliant, safe, pesticide-free solution to dealing with those pesky little ankle-biting devils that hide in the carpet! I'll continue to vacuum, but I intend to keep this thing plugged in at all times to grab the ones that get away or are newly hatched. Don't hesitate to buy this product!
