(More customer reviews)We live on a farm and have 8 cats. I've used Hartz Ultra Guard Reflecting Flea & Tick Collars on our cats for many years. They work well for the heavily wooded area we live in and zero of my cats have ever had any kind of bad reaction to the collars. And they are reasonably priced and last 7 months through the whole flea and tick season.

(More customer reviews)Unfortunately my vet never stressed flea control for my indoor only cats.After suffering from a horrible infestation when my neighbors downstairs moved out, my problems only just started.Bombing with pesticides, traps, sprays, baths, vacuuming daily, and topical pesticides (Frontline & Advantage) all were ineffective at eliminating the problem.My Vet was at his wits end and I had been evicted from my home by this pestilence of biblical proportions.After six months of trying the aforementioned solutions, I came across Program.For one month I doubled down with Advantage and Program (as per the instructions in the Program package and as approved by my vet).After that month, the change was unbelievable.Now, I use only Program and trust it's protection completely.I love that there is no messy applicator, no needle, chemical smell, or nasty patch of pesticide on my cat's neck that gets on my furniture and prevents me from touching my cat for a couple of days.I would recommend this product to anyone with a house cat the wants simple and easy flea control.

(More customer reviews)I used Orange Guard on several fire ant mounds, using the manufacturer's instructions of 3 to 1 diluted AND full strength.The mounds were ABANDONED.There were absolutely no ant carcasses to be found AND here is the important point, mounds appeared nearby in short order where there were none before.For emphasis and clarity, I repeat, even at full strength, Orange Guard DID NOT KILL fire ants, it just made them move.If you want to kill fire ants in the most earth friendly way, use boiling water.You will see dead ants, and except for the energy burned boiling water, no possible harm to the earth.BTW, as far as the spinosad based products such as Conserve, although safer than probably all previous such products, studies on spinosad show slight toxicity to birds, moderate toxicity to fish, and slight to moderate toxicity to aquatic invertebrates. However, it is highly toxic to bees and is highly toxic to oysters and other marine mollusks.Again, boiling water (as a nod to Ray Bradbury, I call it Farenheit 212) does no harm to any of these when applied to ant mounds.If you want an ant repellant, it does appear to accomplish that.

(More customer reviews)Don't waste your time like I did with others.Use this product and be done with insects for months.I suggest putting one to a room leaveing the air running and staying out of your house for at least two-three days.I do it when I'm going on a trip so that it really sets in on everything.I'm telling you, nothing lives.It has worked for me up to 8 months at a time, usally around 6.I even use it in my garage and storage areas.

I've been through a lot of different ones, but when I found this I haven't looked back.I've been using it now for over 5 years.

It doesn't burn, it doesn't smell, i have three kittens and I felt safe having them around while I cleaned. With other products it was hassle getting them in another room.
This is a great product if you are wanting to be green-friendly and it lasts forever.

(More customer reviews)I used K9 Advantix because I was bringing my dog with me on vacation into a remote camp in tick-infested woods.I used three-quarters of the 20 lb. dose on my 13 lb. poodle.Approx. 12 hours after application, she began to have terrible neurological symptoms, running in circles and crying, jerking and jumping.Her nose became very hot and her breathing became rapid and shallow.We were up all night.By the time I got instructions over the telephone to wash it off with liquid dish detergent, it had been 24 hours.She survived, but the cartilage in her throat has been damaged and her bark is permanently changed.If you are using this product for the first time, PLEASE use only half the recommended dose and standby with the liquid dish detergent.If your dog can stand it, you can apply the rest two days later.The only antidote for permethrin poisoning is to wash it off with liquid dish detergent within the first 24 hours!If this product touches human skin, call a poison control center immediately!Many dogs have been injured, and deaths have been attributed to K9 Advantix.If you feel you must use it, first read the horror stories on the internet.Bayer Animal Health should have included on the box instructions on how to wash it off with detergent immediately if there was an adverse reaction.
